The midwife who delivered my first two children was retiring end of this month. I learnt this during my last prenatal visit. Since then I have been thinking of making her something as her retirement gift also to show my appreciation of what she had done to me - caring me during my first two pregnancies and the childbirth. She was with me all day in the hospital for the second labor because I was overdue and had to be induced. I checked in at the hospital around 7 AM and didn't deliver until 11:20ish PM.
This is also a journal album - a combination of both journal and scrapbook album. I used paper pack I created, Precious Childhood. It's available on my Etsy store (www.etsy.com/shop/SherlsCrafts). I budgeted myself a week to work on this album but ended up working on it on rush and completed it in last minute, literally. Frankly I wasn't 100% happy with this journal album because I didn't have enough time to make more tags, journal cards, altered paper clips, or put more embellishment. I was 80-85% satisfied. Thus, I planned to make another one (it's me, btw. When I am not satisfied with what I made, I will make another one). For this journal album I also used tab binding. My next one using Precious Childhood paper pack might use different binding. I haven't decided, btw. I might work on this next year as I still have tons to do including unpacking (I moved April) and preparing for the new baby (due January 15).
