Again, I have to thank Rosa Kelly Scrapbooking for reminding me of parchment crafts. I did a bit parchment crafts around 10 years ago back when I lived in Taiwan. I found parchment kit on sale on popular online bookstore in Taiwan and bought it. I did try a bit then gave up because I didn't have time to do it and I changed my interest to sewing due to my best friend's influence.
Anyhow, when I started the Romance in Paris swap album, I decided to keep everything paper. And for that, I can't use laces. Also, I wanted to make this album different from what I had done. Thus, it came to me to make some laces with parchment paper.

It was fun to be able to go back to one of my old craft. This parchment craft could be time consuming but it was also relaxing. I would keep incorporating this craft into my other paper projects (mainly scrapbooking and card making).
I made couple different laces with gridwork technique and one with pattern from the only parchment kit I had. Actually, the pattern wasn't a lace. I just modified it to make it into a lace.

Originally I planned to just making the laces. But, when I flipped through the album, I felt that the pages not in between gussets looked bland. Thus, I also made some parchment embellishment for the pages not in between gussets. I only stopped myself short of making too many different types of embellishment and limited it to only 2:
